Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider G Den-O (Episode Yellow)

Damn, after 5 SH Figuarts Den-O releases still no Strike Form...why must we keep on waiting Bandai? Ok just for now, while we keep our craving till the actual Den-o Strike form to arrive, we'll try at least savor (or not) our excitement with the SH Figuarts Kamen Rider G Den-O. SHF G Den-O hails from the movie Kamen Rider Cho Den-O trilogy Episode Yellow and the only newly announced addition to the Den-O family. G Den-O is a time-space police and a member of G-Men, errm sounds like X-Men.

I've watched this and I was just excited with Diend in complete form plus the riders that were featured on his final attack. But back then I knew when G Den-O appeared he will be a Tamashii Exclusive on the SH Figuarts line.

Box art is so like Kamen Rider Eternal's design - white box and the letters are in blue (or teal) colors. But since he has this two-faced blue and white police car DNA, the right side of the box in is blue  letters while the opposite is in red.

It is somehow obvious that since he is a time-space police, the theme would be that of the rider. An American police car in a form of a Kamen Rider. G's head has a red and blue visor, kinda cheesy. I was warned that since these visors are not underneath the helmet such as other Kamen Riders, it falls off if not careful. Biggest accent is the spoiler slanting at the back of his noggin.

Most of Den-O's signature features like the treads or rail track design is also seen in G. These starts from the head to the other parts of his body. His chest piece accent is similar to Vega form that has the Imagin's head sticking out like a sore thumb. In his case, it's the Doberman Pincher Artificial Imagin, Eve (that's a mouthful). Who calls a male Imagin Eve? G's Den-O belt forms like a police academy emblem with a hint of his version of the Denliner. The rest is a remold of the New Den-O.

Speaking of remolds, the rest of his parts are accustomed to New Den-O but painted in white. Except for the academy boots design behind his shin. 5 replaceable hands are also remolds but painted in black and the fingers in silver.

A decent number of accessories beckons him -  a plain black rider pass that has no special design, not even his belt academy symbol. Two weapons - his own Dengasher in Gun and Jutte (or Baton) mode. There is also a set of holsters that are without the pieces of Dengasher.

I have no problems with joints for action poses, nor complain about hindrances to his articulation.

I thought I'm going to be head-over-heels but sadly no. I didn't say he is not worth your buy. It is just that if you have enough cash to splurge a little, G Den-O is not a hard miss despite his stature as part of the Bandai Collectors Shop slew of figures. For once, I have no convincing strategy why you should but this. I'm sitting on a fence with this one.
