Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Fourze Elek States

The S.H. Figuarts Fourze Elek States. This is Fourze's second form using the Elek Switch to also power up with his sword of choice the Billy the Rod. For the first time, I wasn't entirely excited on getting most Fourze figures but I had this anyway. I almost forgot that I even pre-ordered this.

Anyways, Fourze Elek States box art maybe the same as Base States but with minor changes. Instead of heavenly bodies displayed on the window, these are replaced by lighting bolts. Of course to match the rider's theme, the color is changed from white to canary yellow - supposed to be near the shade of gold.

Fourze Elek States has blue compound eyes with electricity towers for his "ears". A nice touch is added by including bolt underneath the translucent mask.  His chest has a lighting bolt too and the shoulders are surrounded by electric nodes. The issue I had with these nodes that these hinder the arms to be raised fully like Base States.  Speaking of nodes, he also has an electric tower transmitter or some sort that is shaped like what you see on Japan's railway stations.

Two more modules are added to the current SHF list which are Beat and Scissors. The Beat Module is quite lame in its details - it is just a plain pink boombox that Paris Hilton may already have in during her quincinieras. Scissors module looks better than the boom box and functions like a pair too. Aside from these, there are also 6 switches and one of the is a blank slot when the Elek Switch is used on Billy the Rod.  The Billy the Rod of Fourze Elek State sword has a plug at the end which fits nicely on each sockets. A separate cord with the Elek Switch is also available to spice things up. The cutest part  of the set is the Foodriod Burger meal that is in Robot mode and Burger mode. I say that these are nicely detailed as expected on tiny SHF bits but it is a shame that the robot mode falls on it back since he has wheels as feet.

Good thing that the modules can be used on Base States so there is a lot of action going on with this set. I feel that SHF Fourze Elek States is good but not an immediate buy. Like I said, I am not a fan of this mode but I am looking forward to other Fourze goodies coming soon.
