Youtube's PH9 recently streamed two Pepsi NEX Zero TV ads with characters for the upcoming movie adaptation of popular classic manga by Shotaro Ishinomori, 009 Re:Cyborg.
According to the official website, the story starts as multiple simultaneous bombings occurred throughout the world including London, Berlin, Shanghai, and Australia. Who and the source of these indiscriminate attacks is unknown and has lead the world into the state of panic and anxiety.
This film is complete re-animation of the original series presented as a full 3DCGI animation film using 2D cell animation for the characters. 009 RE:CYBORG is directed by Kenji Kamiyama known for other works such as Ghost in the Shell S.A.C, Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit and Eden of the East.
The film 009 Re: Cyborg is slated for October 27 in Japan and will also premier simultaneously in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Korea.
