Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kickhopper and Punchhopper (Shinkocchou Seihou)

The S.H. Figuarts Kickhopper and Punchhopper coming to the Shinkocchou Seihou line had a lot of improvements from the first editions. First, the colours for both new version are shaper while the previous ones looked saturated. Next are the compound eyes on Punchhopper are now in silver than green and the highlights are more golden than bronze-ish. On KickHopper, its green parts are sharper the lines more accurate. The jewels are more prominent and obvious and the transformation belts are sleeker than just plain blocks.

Like the first release, both have 2 sets of extra hands and instead of the Aniki Ramen bowls, these are replaced with 1 zecter each with the hind legs switched on the other side. These still have an opposite colour matching to its brother and they are pegged on top of their belts’ platform.
What baffles me is that both have holding hands instead of spliced hands. These have no immediate purpose unless the Machine Zectron releases soon. It is true that the accuracy is there since this is in the Shinkocchou Seihou line up, but this is a set that still has something left to desire since the first release like a stage, the instant ramen bowls or any additional parts like effects. Or instead of selling individually, might as well packaged this as the first Shinkocchou Seihou 2-pack for on a more desirable price.
