Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Thanos (Avengers Infinity War)

There are a couple of variations of Thanos in the MCU but Bandai choose the version from movie Infinity War because of prominence. Thanos coming into S.H. Figuarts takes a form of an unarmored type with all the gems attached on the Infinity Gauntlet. Standing tall in about 190mm, the main feature for me was not the Gauntlet but the face sculpt which is very near to the digital render in the movie.
We only have 5 extra hands and 2 other replacement heads. Swapping the hands and head brings me back to early figuarts where you need to do the screw maneuver to remove these from the body.

As a single unit, Thanos is awesome. The figure is highly articulated for a figure this huge. Latest one I had fun with this size was Broly and Hulk. One of the complaints about the figure is that the snapping hand is on the wrong side. Honestly, I do not care. I’ve seen grammers and other creative toy photographers have turned this mishap into epic and funny memes. Biggest thing about the set is the face mold that is almost accurate, which is a feat since S.H. Figuarts are not really known for this trait. If only the eyes are more visible then I can rate this figure as almost perfect against other Thanos figures released recently in this scale.
