Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Ultraman - The Animation -

Bandai reaches back to its fans with an updated version of the warrior of light with the S.H. Figuarts Ultraman from the animated series aired in Netflix. The difference is overall tweaks to the suit compared between the manga and anime version. There are more red paint applications covering some of the parts and the jewel on the chest seems smaller. Some will consider this form as his B-Type.

Toy Review: Figma Catwoman (Batman Ninja)

figma Catwoman: Ninja Ver is Good Smile Company’s adaptation-to-figure from the animated movie, Batman Ninja. Out of the box, Catwoman is already in her masked version with distinctive attributes such as her tight ninja outfit, cat-like head piece and paw marks on her knees. One more noticeable part is her bell at the neck. The hole at the back is for inserting the peg of the Figma stand.

Bandai Tamashii Nations released the official images other event exclusive items to be sold during the Tamashii Nations 2014 event this October. First is the S.H. Figuarts Sailor Moon in original anime color.  

Garo Anime Voice Actors Revealed

Garo Project's website recently released the voice actors for the upcoming Garo Anime set to premier this fall 2014. The upcoming anime series is entitled Garo: The Carved Seal of Flames (Honoo no Kokuin).  Voice cast includes Leon Lewis voiced by Daisuke Namikawa, Hermann Lewis played by Kenyu Horiuchi, Alfonso Variante voiced Katsuhito Nomura and Emma Guzman played Romi Park. 

New Initial D The Movie Legend 1: Awakening Campaign In Shinjuku

Last August 6, the campaign for the movie  New Initial D the Movie Legend 1: Awakening recently kicked off in Shinjuku, showcasing a replica of Takumi's Toyota AE86, complete with the Fujiwara Tofu Shop logo. Also race queens Megumi Haruna, Tsukasa Arai, and Hino Reika graced the event handing over tofu.

The Last: Naruto the Movie New Character Sketches Revealed

The combined issue of this month's Shonen Jump magazine vol. 37-38 has revealed more character sketches for the upcoming The Last -Naruto the Movie-. This includes Sai, Sakura and Shikamaru, all grown up with more mature features.

New Initial D the Movie Legend 1: Awakening Trailer Streamed

Via Movie Collection, the latest trailer has been uploaded recently in line with the movie, Initial D the Movie Legend 1: Awakening. The movie is part of the planned trilogy retelling the tale of Takumi Fujiwara, a highschool student who works at the gas station by day and for his dad at the tofu shop at night. His excellent driving skills and his father's modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno make him the best amateur road racer on Mt. Akina's highway.

Next Generation Patlabor Episode 6-7 Promo Video Streamed

The official Youtube channel of the live-action  The Next Generation Patlabor has streamed its lastest video promo for the 6th and 7th episode titled: Daikaijū Arawaru Kōhen" (A Giant Monster Appears Part II) and "Time Dokan." Both episodes are part of the 4th installment of the series called Stray Dog Afternoon. The video also shows Studio Ghibli co-founder Toshio Suzuki's playing a role of a shady "Neppūsha" agent. Bayonetta: Bloody Fate Gets US Release This October 2014

Announced during last week's SDCC 2014,  Platinum Games' Bayonetta anime adaptation entitled: Bayonetta: Bloody Fate  will get a Blu-ray and DVD release this October 21, 2014. This will be distributed by Funimation for North America. With this, here is the dubbed trailer in line with the home video promotion.

2015 Dragon Ball Movie Teased On Mezamashi TV

Fuji TV's morning program, Mezamashi TV recently aired teaser scenes for the new Dragon Ball movie that is slated to premier during the “Golden Week". Some of the key visuals shown are Son Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan, a different Dragon Ball fiery logo, and Shenlong appearing. Check out the coverage via Youtube after the jump.

New Dragon Ball Movie Coming In 2015

The latest issue of Jump magazine has revealed that Akira Toriyama is currently working on a new Dragon Ball movie slated for spring 2015 release. Toriyama has also confirmed that like Dragon Ball Z: Battle of God, this film will tell a new story set in the Dragon Ball universe. Toriyama is currently working on the new character designs, and asked his fans to look forward to the movie. Official title has yet to be announced.

Dragon Ball Kai Full Release Action Kamekameha Announced

Geek level over 9000! Bandai recently streamed on their Youtube channel the latest promo for the Dragon Ball Kai Full Release Action Kamekameha. The role play toy is a brace that  emit sounds of various moves from characters in the Dragon Ball universe namely. By turning the dial and pressing either of the buttons, the brace will produce sounds form either Piccolo, Vegeta and Son Goku. Price is about 3,700yen and was released last July 12, 2014.

S.H. Figuarts Vegeta Original Animation Colors Coming To SDCC '14

Another Bluefin exclusive release will make its way to this year's San Diego Comic Con 2014. This is the S.H. Figuarts Vegeta Original Animation Color. The figure represents the rendition of Vegeta as he appeared in the original anime! 

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Sailor Venus

The 5th character in the franchise, this Sailor Venus enters the S.H. Figuarts as the 4th figure released for the line. Codenamed Sailor V, the figure’s prominent color is Orange with pearl white essence on her suit. The longhaired figure not only has a bow on the chest and back but also on her hair.

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Klilyn

The former Orin temple monk and BFF slash rival to Goku, the S.H. Figuarts Klilyn follows the form from the Dragon Ball Z saga. His uniform is somewhat similar to Goku’s base form but with the Kame symbol in front and back of the figure. Of course don’t forget that smooth head sculpt and the six scars.

MG THE NEXT GENERATION Patlabor Type 98 Ingram AV Announced

On the recently held 53th Shizuoka Hobby Show event last May 15 to 18, 2014 at Twin Messe, Shizuoka, Japan, Bandai has previewed its first look at the plastic model MG Patlabor Type 98 Ingram AV. This figure represents the mecha on the live-action The Next Generation Patlabor. Price has yet to be revealed but this is already marked for September 2014 release.
