Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kyoryu Red

Like most rangers, Kyoryu Red is the first to debut in the S.H. Figuarts line. The figure shouts Gabutyra from the fangs on his head sculpt, the crest on his chest then down to his fists. Kyoryu Red as a default is equipped with Mobuckle but it doesn't open to insert the Beast Batteries in.

 As the initial offering Kyoryu Red has an amazing number of parts such as 6 hands, Gaburivolver, Gabricalibur, Gabutyra Fang, an Armed On arm and a small Beast Battery. To use Armed On accessory, you need to remove the entire right arm with the Kyoryu Red Armed Mode piece and attach the Gabutyra Fang as a hand replacement. The Gabutyra Fang has an open mouth gimmick that is a good addition to the set.

This in the nutshell is a great first release for the Kyoryuger series. He has enough accessories to work with and the articulation points, well, not far from past sentai releases. It is surprising that this set didn't include the Gaburu Cannon since this was a staple weapon in the series. The Armed On parts are well executed even though it is difficult to detach the arm on the first try. More to this from the video review below
