Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Resident Evil 6 Leon S. Kennedy

The first entry of Square Enix in line with the game Resident Evil 6 is Leon Kennedy. Hoping to get a good audience from fans, Square Enix tries to capture details of the character from the game like the cool leather jacket and dark blue pants and the communicator just hanging above his ear. Top it off is a pair of glossy leather shoes, not fit when you are fighting hordes of zombies.

Following other Play Arts Kai figures, he only just have a few accessories such as two hand guns, a pair of holding hands and a rifle with a knife at the tip. Hand switching continues to use a simple peg system and in order to balance the figure; a stage is also included in the set.

I’m excited at first when Leon Scott Kennedy finally gets the Play Arts Kai treatment but was disappointed on his face sculpt. He looks mad most of the time and nowhere near to the game illustrations. In some angles, he also looks cross-eyed. But the clothing is spot on, from the stripes on the leather jacket to the weapons he used. Instead of two guns, I would like to him have a knife to get more variety. I leave it up to you what would be your rating on the figure. More to this from the video review below.
