The poster for the upcoming film: Kikaider REBOOT has been revealed recently highlighting both the main character and Hakaider. Kikaider REBOOT, a remake of Shotaro Ishinimori's 1972 TV show, is directed by Ten
Shimoyama and written by Kento Shimoyama. The tagline says, "Is this Good? Or Evil? I will protect you, even if my machine body/heart is broken". The movie set to premier this May 24,
2014.
According to the description, the right shade of the character symbolizes the evil within Kikaider while him holding his chest shows the struggle and suffering that Jiro is experiencing, trying to stand between right and wrong.
The new Kikaider/Jiro will be played by Jingi Irie and the original actor, Daisuke Ban will make an ppearance in the movie as the mysterious psychologist Kyujiro Maeno. Joining the cast are Aimi Satsukawa who will play as Dr. Komyoji's daughter Mitsuko and Maryjun Takahashi as Android Mari. Other cast members will include Kazushige Nagashima, Hirotaro Honda (Kamen Rider Kabuto), Shingo Tsurumi (Kamen Rider Fourze) and Ryuji Harada.
The plot takes place where the "Ark Project" uses robots to solve
problems and what Japanese government can't solve with human power
alone. Robot engineering expert Nobuhiko Komyoji perishes and his rivals
stole his plans. Komyoji's creation, Jiro, awakens and becomes the
hero.
