Live-Action Gatchaman Movie Premiers In Singapore This October

Good news to Gatchaman fans in Singapore! It was announced recently that the live-action movie adaptation of Gatchaman will reach Singapore theaters this October 17, 2013.  Tori Matsuzaka (Samurai Sentai Shinkenger) will play the lead character Ken Washio aka Ken the Eagle.

Sentai Filmworks To Re-release Gatchaman OVA This Year

Sentai Filmworks is planning to release the Original Video Animation (OVA) of the entire 150 episodes of Science Ninja Team Gatachaman in DVD and Blu-ray this October. The uncut version of the series will be bundled into a three part 1994-95 OVA series on DVD and Blu-ray, then the company will release the OVA in DVD only.

Live Action Gatchaman Promo Features Latest Theme Song

ToHo's official Youtube channel for the upcoming live action movie Gatchaman started streaming its latest promos featuring rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN's theme song entitled "Niji o Motsu Hito" (Those Who Possess the Rainbow) for the film .

Live-Action Gatchaman's G Suits Costs 2M Yen

As posted earlier, the G-Suits were revealed on official site for the live action film, Gatchaman. To make these more durable and withstand difficult action scenes, it was reported that it took a year to create these costumes which summed up to 2 million yen (about about US$200,000.) in total production cost.

Tori Matsuzaka To Star On Gatchaman Live-Action Film

Tatsunoko Productions' anime Science Ninja Team Gatchaman as known as G-Force in the American TV adaptation, is finally getting a live-action film with Samurai Sentai Shinkenger's Tori Matsuzaka as the lead character Ken Washio. Director Toya Sato (live-action Grave of the Fireflies, Sexy Voice and Robo, Kaiji, Gokusen) will helm on the film and will begin shooting October 15.

Other actors joining Matsuzaka are Go Ayano (Kamen Rider 555, Rurouni Kenshin) as Jo, Ayame Goriki (Mirai Nikki, IS) as Jun, Tatsuomi Hamada (Ultraman Zero, Gokaiger vs Gavan) as Jinpei and Ryohei Suzuki (Hana Kimi) as pilot Ryu to complete the cast.
