DX MMZ-001 Promo Streamed

Bandai's official Youtube channel recently posted their promo for the 1/1 Scale DX MMZ-01 Moe Moe Z-Cune, a device that our band of misfits use transform into Hikonin Sentai Akibarangers.

Aoi is an anime character from Nyojime Z-Cune Aoi that Hakase's dad created for a TV station. The MMZ-01 has two modes: the gun mode and toy mode. In addition, MMZ-01 will include a display stand. This will be released this September at 12,000 Yen.

Beet Buster and Beet J Stag - Friend or Foe?

As we near to formally introducing of Beet J Stag and Beet Buster in the upcoming Gobuster episode 15: The Golden Warrior and the Silvery Buddy, lets get to know more about or duo. It seems like their personality can be compared to Gouraiger's - uncooperative, self-centered and unyielding. Of course we know that this would not be long as we progress through the story.

"Itaki Tokkun no Kizuna wa Kōnin Rōdo no Inbō Kōsaten" (痛き特訓の絆は公認ロードの陰謀交差点). Tsukishima alpaca appears on this story and calls Nobuo and claims to be a producer from Toei. Nobuo is delighted and excited in hopes that Akibarangers will be "certified" soon. Hiroyo Hakase was suspicious and hanged up the phone. However, the three rangers went to Ginza - Toei's main headquarters but were kicked out of the office. Meanwhile, Hiroyo visits a professor at a university.

ONE OK ROCK Produce Kenshin Movie Theme Song

ONE OK ROCK, a Japanese rock band recently announced that they will use their single "The Beginning" as the theme song for the upcoming movie Rurouni Kenshin film, a live adaptation of the manga.

Morita Takahiro, the lead vocals and a close friend of the movie's lead actor Takeru Satoh (Kamen Rider Den-O, Rookies, Fuyu no Sakura), said that he was filled with excitement when he made the song for the film. Takeru Satoh said that he had listened to the song while filming the movie to lift his spirits.

S.H. Figuarts RedBuster Joins September Line-up

The S.H. Figuarts summer 2012 releases will definitely make your wallets bleed. To add to the pain, Bandai has announced that the S.H. Figuarts RedBuster will join the September release together with Magnugiga, BoukenRed, DekaBlue and Libra Zodiarts.

As of the moment, official images and other accessories that are inclusive of SHF RedBuster has yet to be posted on Bandai's Tamashii page. The only weapon we can see from the screenshot is that RedBuster is holding a Sougan Blade. Price and more pictures will be up soon.

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Birth Prototype

After Date recovered from his head injury, he comes back to help Goto as Kamen Rider Birth Prototype. Date Returns! The last time I reviewed the SHF Kamen Rider Birth, I wasn't happy on the outcome just because I was expecting more from a secondary rider just like others were before him. I'm giving Birth a second chance in S.H. Figuarts just because I like Date's personality.

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Birth Prototype is another Bandai Collectors Shop exclusive figure packed with at least half of the Claw Sasori set which includes the Breast Cannon and the Crane Arm. Your Breast Cannon has a turret that moves up and down. It should, since this was already done in the Sasori set. An extra breast plate with a peg molded in is inclusive to hold the Breast Cannon on his chest.

Gobuster x Fourze New Movie Announced and Meteor Goes Golfing

Kamen Rider Fourze and Tokumei Sentai Gobusters will be having a twin bill movie this upcoming August 4th 2012.

The first leg of the movie will be entitled: Kamen Rider Fourze The Movie: Everyone, Space is Here! (Minna de Uchu Kita!). A pair of characters unbeknownst to all will be featured from the series Uchuu Tetsujin Kyodain. Space Ironmen Kyodain robots, Skydain (in red) and Grandain (in blue), will not only be in the movie but there are few noteworthy characters included. Sexy Mikie Hara (from Cutie Honey) will be playing as Inga, a female fighter and her aibo Black Knight. 

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Gosei Knight

The S.H. Figuarts Gosei Knight is the first Goseiger figure to be released in the said line and is a good entry despite its Bandai Collector Shop exclusivity. Just like many firsts, GK has its hits and misses that is evident on its paint applications. Even with that said, Gosei Knight offers a number items that will slightly excite you for the arrival of the rest of the team. To early to finish the review? Wait there's more.

As the gold ranger, the box has a similar motif. But in my opinion as a advertising practitioner, the words and logos on the box look cramp and the window on the right panel seems off. This makes the Gosei Knight's name, again, seems forced in. What appeals about the design is that Bandai used a lot of the figure's image and might be a welcoming sight for nitpickers.

Fourze Episode 38: Win-Ner Deci-Sion - Preview

Fourze episode 38 is entitled: Win-Ner Deci-Sion "Shō Sha Ket Tei" (勝・者・決・定). Yuki tries to clear her name as she is accused of cheating on the astronaut test, while Gentaro tries to convince Erin to not follow the path the Horoscopes want of her. Only four people left on the series of test, which includes Erin and Yuuki. On the 3rd and last exam, Erinne becomes hostile and tries to win no matter what the result is!

Hiroya Matsumoto will be playing Masato/BeetBuster in Tokumei Sentai Gobusters. Matsumoto is not new to the Tokusatsu universe, previously he played as Tsubasa Ozu / MagiYellow in Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Moreover, his Buddyroid, Beet J Stag will be voiced by Yuichi Nakamura.

S.I.C. Kamen Rider OOO Official Images

Bandai has recently released the official images of the S.I.C. Kamen Rider OOO Tatoba combo, the 64th installment for their re-imagines Kamen Rider figures spear headed by the master Mr. Kenji Ando.

The S.I.C. Tatoba Combo is complete with a set of Taka, Tora and Batta Core Medals, a set of cell medals and the Medaljalibur. Looking at the images, the Tora claws does flip out as it would on the show but alternatively, a completely different Tora claws is also available to provide that organic feel in line with the S.I.C. theme. 

Should you need to recreate a combo charge, a new set of Batta legs will do it just that.

Four Kamen Rider OOO S.I.C.s In The Works

More Kamen Rider OOOs S.I.C.s are currently in the works. Aside from the recently announced Tatoba combo, the next set of combos will be Gatakiriba, Latorata, Sagozo and Shauta. In the concept sketch above, all four follow the same organic look to compliment Tatoba's awaited release this August. It is not yet clear which volumes these will belong to or will these be packaged as a two-pack or as individual releases. Eventually, prototypes will be captured soon and we will showcased these here soon.

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Super Shinken Red

When ShinkenRed loads the Secret Loading Gun Mougyu Bazooka...this isn't a secret anymore ain't it? This is my review of the S.H. Figuarts Super Shinken Red. Super Shinken Red is the 7th Shinkenger release right after the completion of the main samurai rangers in the SHF line.

I said to myself it is ridiculous if Bandai releases Super and Hyper and I will refuse to spend my money on it. Guess again. I stumbled over my farthest but one of my fave toy stores right in the heart of Bugis - the Falcon's Hangar, I pre-ordered so therefore I must collect. I'm expecting the same of almost everything from Super ShinkenRed so let's see what it feels having its super form.

Kamen Rider 2012 Rumors

There are more rumors circulating around the web about the upcoming Kamen Rider as a painter and a phone using rider. Up to this post, we are still receiving concept and fan arts for the new rider. Previously, it is an image that resembles Another Agito mashed with Kamen Rider Shin. The latest image posted on social networking sites resembles a Ninja (like ZX)and has a name: "Kamen Rider Xi" or "Kamen Rider Saido". XI or Saido, meaning color saturation.

Aside from this, the said rumored rider has "PuzzleRoids" as to Fourze's Foodroids with animal motifs ala Shinkenger's Origami.

Beet Buster Actor Revealed

Finally, we have confirmed that Hiroya Matsumoto will be playing Masato/BeetBuster in Tokumei Sentai Gobusters. About Episode 15: Gold Warrior and Silver Buddy

At the end credits of episode 13 we got a glimpse of Beet J Stag and Beet Busters' legs signifying their arrival on episode 15: Gold Warrior and Silver Buddy. This is in line with Yoko taken as a hostage while Enter get his Enetron (why is Yoko and Usada always easy to capture?).

The identity of Beet Buster is someone from Ryuji's past, an engineer, a genius who he has admired since - Masato. As Ryuji opens his locker some contents fell, Hiromu and Yoko found a runner-up certificate from a contest. Ryuji tells the story behind it. 

Gentaro Finally Wears The School Uniform in Fourze Episode 37

Here we have additional info on the upcoming Kamen Rider Fourze episode 37: Star Group Selec-Tion and it looks like Gentaro will finally wears the official school uniform.

The mock astronaut selection is held annually and has been coveted ever since. The said exam tests qualities to become an astronaut and successful candidates will be provided a special scholarship.

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Fourze RocketStates

Thanks for team Jefusion and the rest of online community I was able to watch Movie Megamax which appealed to me in some way, seeing W aibos and OOO back in action. Though I feel that Double wasn't given enough spotlight,  the build up of the story that lead me to say, wow now that is a story. 

The first movie upgrade we saw was Fourze's chapter when Nadeshiko went into the light but before she did, passed an S1 switch to Kamen Rider Fourze to transform into RocketStates. 

In S.H. Figuarts form, RS (RocketStates) has a slightly bigger box size that BaseStates and can be compared to the Stand and Effects Set. RS continues to apply the constellation theme at the front window of the dark orange box.

S.H. Figuarts AkibaRed Will Have Wings!

After the official images of the S.H. Figuarts RedHawk were released at various Tamashii web, micro and facebook sites, is it just announced that RedHawk will include AkibaRed's wings! The Jet Winger you saw in ep.6 of Akibaranger- "Take Flight Leader! The Painful Trap of Deluded Photography" will be included in the SHF Red Hawk package. S.H. Figuarts Red Hawk SRP is 3,675 yen and will be released this August 2012.

S.H. Figuarts Perfect Cell Debut At SDCC?

Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA's facebook page previously revealed images of the S.H. Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Gohan "Special Color Edition" which will be a exclusive figure making its way at the San Diego Comic-Con this coming June. The special color entails Gohan wearing the same Gi provided by Piccolo during their battle with Cell. SHF Gohan Special Edition will be sold at $30.00.

Possible Kamen Rider Fourze RocketStates Return

Kamen Rider Fourze Rocket States might return, this time on the small screen. Treat this post as a grain of salt. According the Skytower West Tokyo blog, a team of film/TV crew recently finished completing a scene for Kamen Rider Fourze. During the shoot only about 30 people were permitted to go within the vicinity and can only take photos. For now we cannot tell whether this is for an upcoming episode or a summer movie. But it may have been filmed after the Megamax movie since RocketStates was filmed with CosmicStates in one venue. Before, Kamen Rider Fourze RocketStates debuted on the movie Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX movie wherein Gentaro used a S-1 switch given by Nadeshiko upon her departure. 

Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zolda

A few reviews ago, I checked out an old Zolda figure from the R&M series and I was taken abreast on how today's figures have developed since. Clearly, simple articulation is not enough for those who have discriminating taste which I think I may have been one when I started collecting kamen rider figures again. I was so excited to get my SHF Kamen Rider Zolda I'm eager to compare what has transpired over the years. 

The S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Zolda follows the same box design as previous Ryuki-based figures on the same line. This time, the size  is between Ouja's and Ryuki's.

Gobusters Episode 12: You Like Going Undercover? - SUB

This crystal is very rare and cannot be found in Japan but somehow is was seen being worn by Angie, a Hong Kong Actress visiting Japan. Gobuster's next mission is to protect Angie from Vagrass. It seems like Angie look very much like Yoko so they tried some disguises. With the threat of a Megazord, the Go-Busters must work undercover taking care of the popular Hong Kong actress Angie Sue, who bears a striking resemblance to Yoko.

Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX SUB

Here now is the full stream of the movie Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars MEGAMAX. The movie comes in four parts - first is called "Beginning" and tackles on the Legendary 7 Kamen Riders when a meteorite falls from space which contains a material called SOLU.

Second part focuses on Kamen Rider OOO and his first meet with Michal Minato (soon to be Kamen Rider Aqua) - a rider from about 40 years in the future. But he was corrupted by Dinosaur Greed medals turning him into Poseidon.

Dang it!. I knew it. Yes you read the title right. On Tamashii Web Shop site, SHF DekaBlue official images have been posted and he would be the third male of the main 5 sentai characters to have this title. Deka Blue, from Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger will be set to release this September at 3,675 yen. Previous male rangers that were exclusive were ShinkenGreen and Blue then GoseiKnight.

Toy Review: RAH220 DX Takeshi Hongo Late Ver. (Kamen Rider Ichigo)

The pose that saved lives. It was 1971 when Kamen Rider aired on local Japanese boob tubes by creators Ishinomori and Hirayama. Never did they realize it would be a Tokusatsu genre that would span for more than 40 years. Today, Kamen Rider 1 has been immortalized in many forms by many toy companies. But I'll concentrate on my latest hoot, Ichigo's human form Takeshi Hongo.

The RAH220 DX Takeshi Hongo has simple design with an image of the figure already on his Henshin position. Side panels labels Kamen Rider immortalizing justice, nice touch and revs you up to do something heroic. Underneath the face is the Tachibana Racing Logo representing their confidant Tobei Tachibana supplying riders from Ichigo to Stronger their bikes. He is like James Bond's Q for those who are not in the know.
