Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Groundain

The S.H. Figuarts Groundain assumes the form the updated version of Gounzel from Space Ironmen Kyodain for the Kamen Rider Fourze movie: Everyone Space is Here! If Skydain is a jet, Groundain is a car with beefed up mad max style mufflers on the back and wheel accents of the shoulders and ankle. As for the wheels, the only parts that function are the ones near the ankle.

Groundain has three hands, two of which are to diversify the poses and the other has Skydain’s right hand to clench with her brother’s left wrist. That is basically all the accessories this is included. Articulation are similar to other latest S.H. Figuarts releases. Some of the slight hindrances on the arms that sometimes scratches on the mufflers at the back. I am not really fond of silver paint or white applications since these are the first ones to flake off a figure. It hasn't happened yet, but I am counting on it. The knee panel has its own swivel point supposedly to hide the joint.  I believe this is unnecessary unless there is a real function to it.

Like Skydain, Groundain is molded almost with similar characteristics on the film. There are no major hindrances or flaws on the figure; it is just that this character is not as popular as Kamen Rider Fourze. I consider this as an easy pass despite how beautiful this figure is along with other S.H. Figuarts Fourze figures. suggest to get this if you want all SHF Fourze figures in your collection, including movie characters. More to this from the video review below.
