Toy Review: S.H. Figuarts Takeshi Hongo (Kamen Rider 1)

S.H. Figuarts finally is making human forms or actors from the tokusatsu series with the 1st Kamen Rider, Takeshi Hongo. Hongo sports his signature black outfit with the Cyclone belt already attached on his waist. His outfit is reminiscent of the 1970s with those old school leather gloves and bellbottom pants.
The set doesn’t have a lot but 7 extra hand with a pair of holding hands and a translucent plastic stand held up by a white clip that I think is an henshin effect that you can either put in the foreground or background of the figure.

I’m not surprised that the figure is somewhat loosely looks like the actor because that is not Bandai’s strong suit. I feel though that the arms are quite skinny against the whole frame. I mentioned that there are limitations to his articulation but it is enough for the figure to do various poses and even a simple rider kick. I hope this set will open up to more human forms as I’d like to see heisei riders having a human form in the S.H. Figuarts line.
