Toy Review: Kingdom Hearts Play Arts Cloud

This is another figure I thought I lost in a rubble of boxes at home. This is my review of the Play Arts Kingdom Hearts Cloud. A superb story placing Final Fantasy characters in like Sepiroth and Cloud. Cloud has been an inspiration of mine to pick up a lot of Play Arts figures and this is no exempt.

Slightly different from what you used to see in Final Fantasy, Cloud in Kingdom Hearts has bat-like wings on a ball joint and moving this part is such a joy. The torn cape has a hinge that only allows up and down movement, if this could also swing side ways, that would be awesome. It has an odd curve though with folds and creases that ends with dark airbrushed ensemble making him look like a war-torn vagabond type of warrior. Cloud also includes an adjustable stand, 1 swappable holding hand and the bandaged Buster Sword.

Toy Review: Kingdom Hearts II Play Arts Sora Vol.1

This is a review of the figure that was release almost half a decade ago - the Play Arts Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora. Sora is the main protagonist of the game in the Kingdom Heart series and the game itself is the brainchild from the gang who created the Final Fantasy series with an exemplary touch of Disney Magic.

Just like any other Play Arts figures to date, Sora's box art is quite plain with  bright white  as a motif with legible Kingdom Hearts II letters at the bottom . On the upper left hand side is the game and Disney insignia and adjacent is Square Enix's. I've read that there are a lot of bootleg versions of this toy and it is hard to judge from the box alone. Along this review, there are two points to know if your Sora is fake.

Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Dante Devil May Cry 4

It really has been awhile since I collected Play Arts Kai figures - like 5 - 6 years or so. I remember my first - the Final Fantasy Fenrir bike which I love so dearly but I had to let it go to prepare myself to move out of the country. I absolutely regretted in letting that go. Since then I was craving for a comeback of my second love (the first was with Sota's Street Fighter series). After playing DMC4, I knew one day I'll have a Play Arts figure- the time has arrived.

I was flabbergasted when I received this toy in line with my birthday month, I was into a huge treat. Thanks to my supportive wife. Without hesitation I snagged Dante in an ebay auction that had the greatest deal and take note in mint - super mint condition. It is nice to compare Play Arts with my review of its Revoltech counterpart since both had a different set to offer to satisfy my salivating craving for another Dante. Wiping my mouth, here is my review. 

Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Nero DMC4

I present my review of the Playarts Kai Nero from Devil May Cry 4. Nero is the first playable character in the game and story is centered on him and his journey. Liking the game so much, I purchased Nero from ebay and fortunately the seller is near our flat. Quick transaction indeed. On to the review.

Play Arts Kai is manufactured by Square Enix and their forte has always been game-based characters. The company has been on top in terms of creating these game characters into toy form in almost perfect accuracy. Most of their toys are targeted obviously for fans of the game. Nero is no exception from Sqaure Enix's great craftsmanship.
