S.I.C. Skyrider First Version Set For May 2014 Release

Since the S.H. Figuarts Skyrider had the first release version, it is about time that S.I.C. have a reimagined version as well. Tamashii Nations' Premium Bandai's web shop just opened the listing for the S.I.C. Skyrider first version. The set will be released this May 2014 for 5,940 yen.

S.I.C. Skyrider To Get A Second Suit Version

If the S.H. Figuarts line released two versions of Skyrider from the 1979 Kamen Rider Series, S.I.C. version will follow as well. Also presented during the Tamashii Nations 2013 event held earlier this month, an image of the S.I.C. Skyrider Second Suit version was seen beside the 15th Anniversary S.I.C. Kamen Rider 1 and 2. There are no further announcements when will this be released and how much. As of the moment, enjoy this review of the S.I.C. Skyrider First Suit version.

Another classic character takes center giving it the original look is this Tamashii Web Exclusive S.H. Figuarts Skyrider. Introduced back in the day as the new Kamen Rider, Skyrider’s first version uses a deeper set of color tones that the first release. As for the mold, almost nothing as changed and he still packs the same number of replaceable parts and accessories.

S.H. Figuarts Skyrider (First Suit ver.) Sailing In September As An Exclusive Release

Bandai Tamashii Nations recently revealed another exclusive release set to sail this September 2013. This is the S.H. Figuarts Skyrider (First Suit ver.) which represents the original suit used by Hiroshi Tsukuba in the first few episodes in the series.

It has been more than 3 years already when S.H. Figuarts took center stage in the tokusatsu community. With over 100 humanoids on its roster (and I am counting Kamen Riders only) we've seen our fair share of the greatest looking to the not so impressive to the "oh hell no".

Skyrider is one of the rare showa riders without the title "Kamen Rider" in their belt. Part of the legendary 7 and in some collectors, Skyrider is one of the anticipated SHF Showa riders released in 2012. As I was going through the shelves of my fave local hobby stores, they are all stacked up. This was already 2 weeks old. Don't get me wrong, the Lion City is one of the crazed SHF gang collectors in South East Asia. To the point every time you utter the initials SHF they (including me) crave like rabid animals waiting for shops to open on release day. This time, it seems not to be the case with Skyrider and just wondered why. So I tried to check it myself. Let us see which category this flying masked rider falls into.

Toy Review: S.I.C. Skyrider

In the past, I had doubts and have little expectation on the S.I.C line because of reports that joints break, bad articulation points and even if they look pleasing, provides low ROI for its user. It is to a point that you would not dare to take off these figures out of the box in fear, albeit its ridiculous price point.

That has changed as I dig deeper in the SIC line with the new showa riders coming into the foray. To finally shatter my dismay, I picked up SIC Skyrider to keep check if there will be developments in terms of playability. Welcome to my review of the S.I.C. Skyrider. Together lets explore.

The Scan: SH Figuarts Skyrider

Recently, I posted that a tweet from Tamashii that SH Figuarts Skyrider is coming this February 2012. Now, I present you images of Skyrider. Moreover Amiami has already posted their pre-orders for the said figure. Skyrider will also come with a Tamashii Stand with its stage stating Skyrider Sailing Jump with a silhouette of the figure. Release date Feb 2012. Price 3,200 Yen.

SH Figuarts Sky Rider Coming in February 2012

Tamashii Nations recently twitted from their account that SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Sky Rider will be released in February 2012. This announcement will be included on Tamashii Nation's Web Soul Newsletter. The twit also stated that this is not the only figure that will be announced today for its February release. Check out their Twitter account @t_features. 

Aside from this, February 2012 releases include Figuarts Zero Hancock, Crocodile and Salome. Price 3,500 Yen each.
