R/D Kamen Rider Cyclone, Faiz, Momotaros, Decade Spotted At The W Hero Summer Festival

Banpresto has just revealed the November 2013 releases of the R/D or Real Deform Kamen Rider figures at the Kamen Rider x Super Sentai W Hero Summer Festival. These figures are priced at 600 yen in selected stores or set as prizes in UFO catchers.  

S.H. Figuarts Delta, Orga, Psyga, Orphenocs Magazine Scans

First seen during the Tamashii Nations 2012 event, recently magazine scans have revealed the rest of the S.H. Figuarts figures in the series Kamen Rider Faiz. First we have the 3rd rider Kamen Rider Delta. On the show there were at least 7 characters including Inui Takumi (Faiz) who have worn the Delta Gear.

Toy Review: RAH Kamen Rider Faiz

I've always looked up to those who can purchase an RAH figure. I was a bit hesitant on getting one because clearly on a few things, first it is too expensive to collect, second the box too huge and I don't have ample shelf space. Currently my so called library is full of SH Figuarts stuff and other non-toku related figs. Actually its the SHFs that is taking a lot of space. But there is one factor that would lure me to even getting one because I am one huge fan - that is Kamen Rider Faiz.

Most of the time when I do reviews, I would start from the box. I would still do this because the art is freaking amazing!. On the front cover, its has Faiz in watercolor which is a first for me. And what freaks me more is that this is only the first cover. The is no stoned unturned, if you take a pic inside that cover, it has another watercolor art inside it. I was told that you can cut this piece and make it into your own diorama, in my case I would not even dare think of it.

As this is my first time to even handle a 1/6 inch scale figure, first reaction was whoohoo! All of the great reviews I've read so far are all true. Well honestly not quite. I understand that this figure should be poseable since there are a lot of articulation points that are akin to a humanoid. In this case, I guess that because of the costume, it hampers a lot and thus cannot be compared to other toy lines like SHFs. The only free moving joint was the neck, it has the flexibility even beyond human conditions.

Toy Review: Faiz 555 Jet Sriger/Sliger (RC)

Jet Sriger come closer....The Faiz 555 SB-VX0 Jet Sriger is for me the best looking bike ever made in Kamen Rider history. Screw the Museum, down with Foundation X - Smart Brain is the greatest fictional enterprise that brought the most breathtaking vehicles. This motor vehicle is design only to Kamen Rider such as Faiz, Kaixa and Delta. Mostly in the movie Paradise Lost, Jet Srigers are mass produced and meant to service Riotroopers.

One of my prized possessions to date, the RC Faiz Jet Sriger. Ever since I watched the show, I knew there is toy of some sort that looks like the Jet Sriger. It is the most sophisticated bikes made in Kamen Rider history and I am dying to have it. Luckily there's one on ebay. On my birthday month with no hesitation, my wife gave this to me. I shrieked and shrilled like a girl on her first kiss.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Faiz Axel

Standing by. Welcome to my review of  the SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Faiz Axel , the third  release and second Faiz form by Bandai. He is the first Kamen Rider to use time and speed as his weapon. I cannot fathom how I just adore the show as this is the third Kamen Rider show I watched since I rekindled my love for the franchise. From the time I saw Kaixa throwing the Axel watch to him, I knew back then the story will be one of the most epic stories in rider history. Though I am equally disgusted how Kaixa is utterly useless in the show. Enough about Kaixa, I'm here to talk about Axel.

Let's quickly run through the accessories. He continues to have the Faiz phone in three modes - gun, gun with pointer on top and the phone mode. There are no difference between the sculpt, mold and paint here. The Faiz pointer, and hand embedded - Faiz shot are also available. A wand-signal-looking Faiz Edge to add to the look, two Faiz Drivers and last but not the least the Faiz watch hence the Axel transformation.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Faiz Blaster

 

SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Faiz blaster form in a glance would delight any SH Figuarts collector. For a regular released figure, he packs quite a lot just like my awe to my Kamen Rider Ixa. It is surprising to know that Faiz  Blaster form was released first before SHF Axel. The reason for this move from Bandai is still a mystery because we know that Faiz Blaster is the protagonist's final form. 

The box design the reminiscent of the 2nd wave of SH Figuarts releases wherein the color is akin to its rider. Bold letters scream Faiz Blaster and at the back, a familiar roundabout of what is SH Figuarts, what to expect from the figure and photo ideas on how you can pose him - a must for toy photographers like me. 

Toy Review: SIC Kiwami Tamashii Faiz Blaster

I'm having a blast with SIC Kiwami Tamashii Faiz Blaster Form with a bit of hiccups here and there. Just like Axel, the form and engineering effort that was placed in this figure is top notch.

Although he is supposed to be a remold of SIC KT Faiz, Blaster form is more sleek and rounded. The striking red paint apps sets him apart from the other two. His chest and shoulder armor are in an angular and round shape.

Toy Review: SIC Kiwami Tamashii Auto Vajin

 

I was saving Auto Vajin for a review until I can get the rest of the SIC Kiwami Faiz riders together. Now that I have them in possession, its time. Auto Vajin is Faiz's trusty side kick and the only one he can count on without hesitation. Kaixa and Delta do not count, they are such A@#@$ and unreliable at most times.

When you take this figure out of the box, it is already in bike mode. All you have to do is place the handle bars, feet rests and the kick stand. The wheels do function pretty well, the handle bars are sturdy. Because this is SIC, there are hints of battle damaged parts and paint apps. Some may like it and others might not. Still Auto Vajin is shinny in silver. 

Toy Review: SIC Kiwami Tamashii Faiz Axel

It's time to open your eyes for the next Faiz. Next Faiz I'm talking about is Axel form. Sounds familiar to today's Accel,well that's how it is nowadays in the Kamen Rider world - repeat, rebrand, repackage.

It may come to a surprise today that the whole SIC Kiwami Tamashii Faiz forms are a bit pricey due to its popularity on this specific toy line. I can't blame them because of the pleasing aesthetics that surround Faiz. Axel joins this foray of good looking SIC KTs.

Latest photos of the upcoming SH Figuarts figures : Shadowmoon, Tajadol (Tajadoru) Combo, Faiz Blaster form, taken from the Tamashii Feature's Vol.2 ACT-1 in Akihabara, Japan. However, Shadowmoon, Tajadol and Birth in the photos are prototypes and may add improvements as the release dates are getting close.
