Kamen Rider Fourze's Elec State Revealed

Another reason to switch on ikoze! Featured on a recently published toy catalog, Kamen Rider Fourze's second form called Elec States is finally showcased. Sporting a metallic Gold finish, he will be using Billy the Rod Module as his primary weapon. On a similar note, Fire states is rumored to have a red metallic suit as well.

Other changes are his eyes to form a blue-ish color and adding to the suit are lighting marks shinning on to the sides of his legs. All of this will debut this October. 

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Accel Booster

Kamen Rider W Returns with Accel (Terui Ryu) on the spotlight. This featured transformation is from the direct-to-DVD release of Kamen Rider W Returns Accel V Cinema. Short intro how his transformation came to be. Terui Ryu injured his Accel transformation or memory got depleted and he needed help to save his wife Chief Akiko. A mysterious woman who Ryu is helping tosses him the Memory Enhancer aka Memory Booster and lets Accel upgrade himself for Kamen Rider Accel Booster.

Accel is a nice addition to the SHF Kamen Rider W lineup and looks handsome despite the fact I hate the color yellow. Nothing can be helped about it. The box is pretty much similar to the previous W/Double offerings. Just change it to yellow.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Tajadol Effect Parts Set

My hair on my arms just stood up when I first saw the complete Tajadol combo. Coupled with the henshin jingle and Akira Kushida's masculine and course old rock voice, I was lead into a flabbergasted trance. Then came announcing its SHF figure. Tajadol in my opinion is the most anticipated character to come in a toy form. I couldn't explain to myself why I am so amazed. After my review of the Tajdol combo a few months back, my excitement heightened even more when Bandai announced its SHF Tajadol Effect Parts Set. Like a kid itching for ice cream, I was set to get this immediately to my fellow SHF and OOOs fans.

The first thing that will take your breath away is its box design. The box is by far the widest SHF box you'll see so far. Its reason will be discussed further in this review. Tajadol Combo's photo with all of its glory, is printed at the face of the box - no windows to see its content just like any other exclusives. Yes, this is an exclusive.

Inside, the set includes the peacock feather effect which is the reason why the box is that wide. It is a laminated plastic and creates that luminous effect when you place in front of a light source. See the photos I've taken below. Nice. Just take care of the peacock feather as it is said that it could break off easily or worse shatter into pieces.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider G Den-O (Episode Yellow)

Damn, after 5 SH Figuarts Den-O releases still no Strike Form...why must we keep on waiting Bandai? Ok just for now, while we keep our craving till the actual Den-o Strike form to arrive, we'll try at least savor (or not) our excitement with the SH Figuarts Kamen Rider G Den-O. SHF G Den-O hails from the movie Kamen Rider Cho Den-O trilogy Episode Yellow and the only newly announced addition to the Den-O family. G Den-O is a time-space police and a member of G-Men, errm sounds like X-Men.

I've watched this and I was just excited with Diend in complete form plus the riders that were featured on his final attack. But back then I knew when G Den-O appeared he will be a Tamashii Exclusive on the SH Figuarts line.

Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 2

Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 2 is entitled "Come On, Outer Space." It starts where our protagonists left off - fighting. After failing to defeat the Zodiart, Gentaro was stripped off his belt by Kengo and reminds him that this driver is used for emergency purposes only. 

To prove his worth to use the Fourze Driver, Gentaro continued to help Kengo in searching for the Zodiart. In Gentaro's search, he stumbles back into the space module and learns more about Kengo and his quest. Gentaro is now more motivated to work with Kengo. He tries to convince Kengo that he can help defeat the Zodiarts.

Kaizoku Gokaiger EP 29

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger episode 29 is a tribute to Abaranger and is entitled the “Seven Forms of Rampage and a New Combination.” Though the show gave a slight attribute to Abarangers during Gai's first appearance, this presents more deeper understanding of the team's sempais. Also, it is the first joint gattai of Gorgyujin and GokaiOh forming GojyuGokaiOh.

Zangyack Commander Daiyaaru was called upon to extract energy from women primarily to newly weds. With the Gai's help, Ahim creates a trap by acting as if they are going to wed. This takes Gai into a heart spin for Ahim.

Returnees include AbareBlue/Yukito Sanjou (Shou Tomita)and now-wife and self-proclaimed AbarePink/Emiri Sanjou (Michi Nishijima. There is no pink ranger in Abaranger however, Emiri hands down a pink key and allows Ahim to transform into AbarePink. Let's see what happens next. Subs available here.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki and Dragreder

The Biggest news that created a huge ruckus in SH Figuarts history - SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Ryuki and Dragreder. When news struck and photos leaked on several review and toku sites, I heard people crying in amazement and awe. It is like a bright and shinny light has let upon those who are clamoring for more past Hsieh riders to join the foray of Kamen Rider figures. From the gods and goddesses of toy toku heaven, Bandai heard the plea and presented their version of Kamen Rider Ryuki.

It was MAX Factory's Figma that released the 6-inch Ryuki first this year in the market and many where happy but with a bit of a pinch. Figma didn't win the bidding to use Kamen Rider Ryuki character names in their line up. Rather, the toy line utilized is the ill-received US counterpart, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. This gave room for Bandai in showcasing their answer to Figma's KRDK figures with their version Ryuki. The heated battle rages on as more collectors are itching and anticipating the arrival of the said character toy line. That's a bit of a history (or how I read) between the battle of toy manufacturers.

Toy Review: SH Figuarts Kamen Rider OOO Putotyra Combo

Hopefully the second to the last SH Figuarts release, here is the review of the Putotyra combo. Did I say hopefully? 2011 has offered us great SH Figuarts toys with great box art. A really far cry back in the days where the box art was in bland grey. I know a lot of SHF aficionados are more akin to the latter but I want color to my SHF. With this, it pains my wallet a lot as almost all are great but I don't know how much of my bank account will hold on. Maybe you didn't get my logic here so back to the review...

Putotyra or Putotyrano is a combination of three dinosaur core medals. Note: there are a few debates online that these dino medals are more inclined as mythical creature than of prehistoric reptiles. My take - isn't it obvious? Of course Dino medals. It is depicted by some as its final form (although it is not clear) - Putotyrano is OOO's invincible combo that utilizes the Ptera, Tricera, and Tyranno Core Medals.

Toy Review: Action Works Gavan

For those who don't know, I think I said this on my previous post with my review of Shaider, Action Works was created by Megahouse which is a subsidiary of Bandai before the launch of my beloved SH Figuarts. The sizes are of a smaller scale and about the size of your GI Joes and SIC Kiwami Tamashiis. Even with that said, Action Works figures have more articulation points that SIC KTs. I didn't count how many points of articulation there are, but the neck alone has two, which is one more than I would've expected.

Gavan came with three swords and 3 pairs of hands. Two hands for holding the swords, another pair of open relaxed hands and the other are for replicating Gavan's action pose while he introduces himself to the Makuu. An extra head with a lighted visor is included. There are no guns, no additional accessories hereof. The Gavan figure itself is the weakest of the Uchuu Keiji line-up. The paint applications on Gavan is off in so many places. The helmet appears to have been hand painted. Articulation points are the same  with Shaider but with the  Gavan, it the joints move all over the place which makes the poseabilities almost less that chaotic.

Kamen Rider OOO filming Movie Wars Megamax

Today it has been confirmed that the OOOs group have started filming Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Fourze & OOO Movie Wars Megamax stated from each of the actor's blog sites.

The group will reprise their respective characters:

7th Gokaiger Rumors and Ramblings

Ok, I've been pondering lately from all rumors about Basco joining the Gokaigers soon and Gai's death at the end of the show. What interested me the most is connecting Basco as a good guy and a poster of GokaiGalleon buster with a 7th ranger key. We don't know yet why there is a 7th key with a purple and black ring on it. Is this Basco's ultimate ranger key? Where did it come from - AkaRed maybe? What would Basco's transformation called if ever, GokaiViolet or GokaiBlack? I've actually encircled the key in question and the ad says "7 LED lights" with a shady ranger key.

Treat this a personal rambling from the writer and rumors as a grain of salt. The author had too much overtime work lately.

Gokaiger Ep 32-35 Summaries

Here are the summaries of the upcoming episodes in Gokaiger. It entails the return of one of my fave reds Go-on Red and Ryuu Ranger from Dairanger:

• Episode 32 - The story revolves around Don "Hakase"Dogier and spinning his brain to create the GalleonBuster. You've seen the toy images, get ready for the real action.
• Episode 33 - Dairanger's Ryou Tenkasei comes back.
• Episode 34 - The story will focus on Luka's past
• Episode 35 - (might come a two-part episode) Sosuke or Go-on Red appears and the GalleonBuster forms into the MachFalcon Buster. His Engine Aibo also makes an appearance on this episode.

Toy Review: Faiz 555 Jet Sriger/Sliger (RC)

Jet Sriger come closer....The Faiz 555 SB-VX0 Jet Sriger is for me the best looking bike ever made in Kamen Rider history. Screw the Museum, down with Foundation X - Smart Brain is the greatest fictional enterprise that brought the most breathtaking vehicles. This motor vehicle is design only to Kamen Rider such as Faiz, Kaixa and Delta. Mostly in the movie Paradise Lost, Jet Srigers are mass produced and meant to service Riotroopers.

One of my prized possessions to date, the RC Faiz Jet Sriger. Ever since I watched the show, I knew there is toy of some sort that looks like the Jet Sriger. It is the most sophisticated bikes made in Kamen Rider history and I am dying to have it. Luckily there's one on ebay. On my birthday month with no hesitation, my wife gave this to me. I shrieked and shrilled like a girl on her first kiss.

Toy Review: DX Kaixa Driver (Korean Version)

What the hell is that? Is that a new phone? That was what my wife told me when she first saw it. Of course, I laughed. I've always wanted a DX Faiz, Kaixa  or Delta drive/phone but nowadays the price for one (even fugly and used) has sky-rocketed for more than what I can afford so I settled for a Korean version. There is big difference between its Jap version - just the text on the box and keys. Don't worry it is still in Japanese but the fonts are slightly different. I got mine for a great and most affordable price I can imagine. Hooray for extensive research. Again, this purchase was in line with the budget was given to me by my lovely and thoughtful woman of my life during my birthday month.

The Korean version I have to say is a good buy especially when the Jap version (as of this post) is really hard to get. This dumbed down replica functions well with all the bits and pieces you ever wanted from a Kaixa phone. Its sounds are (as what they say) louder than its Japanese version which is great as I don't need to modify and make adjustments to it (well almost).

Toy Review: SIC Kiwami Tamashii Agito Trinity Form

I think I'm on the right track in purchasing SIC Kiwamis since my whole Kamen Rider collection is growing but my shelf space is getting thin. Besides a re-imagined chibi figure, collecting these are enough to satisfy my imagination of a Kamen Rider war in all shapes and sizes. The latest addition to this is my new haul the S.I.C. Kiwami Tamashii Agito Trinity Form.

Though it is thought that this is just a remold of the SIC KT Agito Ground form, there are more than meets the eye. Did I just referenced Transformers? Trinity is a combined strength of Flame, Storm and Ground Form evident on his chest and arms.

Gokaiger Rumors and Gai's death

According to a french toku blog that Basco's real motive is noble and was planned by AkaRed all along. Captain Marvelous is blinded by this truth and sooner or later Basco will elevate into greatness but comes with a price - Gai's death. Even Navi knows the  truth behind Basco's betrayal. This is all but rumors from this blog and should be taken lightly. 

 

Fourze to Nix Kamen Rider Club early

During the earlier summaries, Gentaro supposedly should be creating the Kamen Rider Club that aims to befriend past riders and demystify the Kamen Rider urban legend. We'll this is not happening anymore.

"Producer Tsukuda says that some higher up from Toei told him to nix the idea. The reasoning they gave him was because Decade, a recentish series, already did that and they didn't want to retread familiar grounds too soon.

Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Dante Devil May Cry 4

It really has been awhile since I collected Play Arts Kai figures - like 5 - 6 years or so. I remember my first - the Final Fantasy Fenrir bike which I love so dearly but I had to let it go to prepare myself to move out of the country. I absolutely regretted in letting that go. Since then I was craving for a comeback of my second love (the first was with Sota's Street Fighter series). After playing DMC4, I knew one day I'll have a Play Arts figure- the time has arrived.

I was flabbergasted when I received this toy in line with my birthday month, I was into a huge treat. Thanks to my supportive wife. Without hesitation I snagged Dante in an ebay auction that had the greatest deal and take note in mint - super mint condition. It is nice to compare Play Arts with my review of its Revoltech counterpart since both had a different set to offer to satisfy my salivating craving for another Dante. Wiping my mouth, here is my review.

OOO x Fourze Movie War Slated

According to Yahoo Movies Japan and  toku reporter Jefusion, the new Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider movie taisen war is slated on December 10th. The movie will be called Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze OOO MOVIE Wars MEGAMAX.

The details of the movie has yet to be revealed but it will be OOOs and Fourze's fusion movie.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Ep 28 Eternal Wings

Episode 28 is entitled Eternal Wings featuring Black Condor (Gai Yuki). Black Condor as you recall  from JetMan, was slain during the show and was replaced by Green Eagle. His death is non-canon due to his appearance in Gokaiger.

The Pirates are tracked by a bounty hunter named Kiaido - one the greatest space bounty hunter and it seems like Captain Marvelous is totally afraid of him. In a fight, Gokaigers were unable to stop him but were let go by Kiaido as part of his hunting play. The pirates tried to look for an answer in Jetman's Gai Yuki who flirts and steals Mobirates from the team.

The rest, well you need to watch it to know more what happens next.

Toy Review: Play Arts Kai Nero DMC4

I present my review of the Playarts Kai Nero from Devil May Cry 4. Nero is the first playable character in the game and story is centered on him and his journey. Liking the game so much, I purchased Nero from ebay and fortunately the seller is near our flat. Quick transaction indeed. On to the review.

Play Arts Kai is manufactured by Square Enix and their forte has always been game-based characters. The company has been on top in terms of creating these game characters into toy form in almost perfect accuracy. Most of their toys are targeted obviously for fans of the game. Nero is no exception from Sqaure Enix's great craftsmanship. 

Street Fighter x Tekken Gameplay, Heihachi enters

The official Capcom Unity website posted streaming gameplay vids on the well and highly anticipated Street Fighter x Tekken game. SF X Tekken is a mishmash of the two franchises in a best brawl tournament. The game is set to be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PlayStation Vita. Price and launch date to be announced.

Another surprise is that the game is including Mr. Badass himself -Heihachi Mishima. The Tekken president is sure to rumble especially for Tekken fans.

DX Fourze Driver Review and Hack

It has been awhile since I read other toku posts from my favorite sites. I came across an interesting news from Orange Range that in a-less-than-a-week's release, the DX Fourze Driver has been HACKED! Aside from this, I'm planning to get the DX Fourze Driver soon so for now, I'm also posting a demo from 25transzendenz on the said belt.

Hacking

I think this time it is quite easier to hacked the driver unlike the OOO Driver that I kept on rubbing to core medals to find a new medal before its intended release. You need two to three sticks to push the right switches and sounds.

Kamen Rider Fourze CM extended!

Even before Kamen Rider Fourze hit the terebi, there are a few CM's that were released from lunch boxes to sausages, the DX Fourze driver and the new Gambaride machine that allows you to use the switches on the machine. Though these items haven't reached shores outside Japan and as a Advertising practitioner at heart, it's humbling to know how Japanese Kamen Rider-related merchandizes are utilized and taken advantage of.

Kamen Rider Fourze Episode 1

The first episode of Kamen Rider Fourze has been released today. Kamen Rider Fourze's first episode is entitled "The Youth Transforms." Lets now welcome the 40th anniversary rider through this new series.

Our hero Gentaro has just transfered to Amanogawa High School in pursuit to make friends with everyone. Well everyone thinks that he is a loony and doesn't know the social rules of high school life. He gets in trouble with A-listers like the cheerleaders and the football team.
